On October 7, 2019, OMAC presented University of Waterloo Mechatronics Lab with a $5,000 Education Grant to support ongoing research in mechatronic automation in manufacturing.
Ron MacDonald, OMAC Chairman, presented a ceremonial check to University of Waterloo’s Dr. William Melek Director of Mechatronics Engineering and the RoboHub and Dr. Soo Jeon, Associate Professor, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering. The presentation occurred at PACK EXPO Las Vegas during OMAC’s 25th Anniversary Celebration, which was sponsored by B&R Automation and Yaskawa.
